My Top 3 Moments Of 2008

As This is my final post of 2008, I picked my top 3 moments of 2008, that really stood out to me and made my day , I hope you enjoy them and Happy New Year !:)
#3 - 13 Female Artists Came Together to perform at Stand Up 2 Cancer proving that willpower and encouragement can get you through anything.

#2 One Republic & David Archuleta - Apologize , it was just my favorite song of the whole year and the way Ryan and Archie worked out the rendition was just amazing I loved it!!


#1 David Cook coming to sit next to David Archuleta in the Top 6 results show, I know you may think why is this my number one, but just look at it ,their true friendship the way he came to support Archie in his decision to stay neutral and to he was not afraid to look just as awkward as Archie did in the middle of the stage, and that's truly what matters True Friends ,so it doesn't matter all the stuff that happened this year , if you got dumped by Joe Jonas (Taylor Swift), if you had 5 ,16th birthday parties (Miley Cyrus) , or if you had the number 1 movies at the box office(HSM 3, and Twilight) , all that matters in every year of your life is someone you can count on and will always be there for you and not be afraid to look stupid even when you do:) Love You Guys and see you in 2009 , Ian

Things That Were Totally 2008

2008 Brought us new music, movies , stars , babies, trends , and games , here is the final salute to the one year I would live over again 2008 :)

Movies - The Dark Night- made over 500 million here in the states and 921 million worldwide, success was bittersweet as the films star Heath Ledger passed away in January , his legacy lives on as the actor is nominated for an Oscar this year for his role.
Iron Man- brought Robert Downey Jr. back into the top movie spots with the film earning over 318 million dollars worldwide.
Twilight - The vampire-teen saga that started in books in 2003 hit the big screen and bit everyone one who saw it grossing in over 69 million dollars the movie brought us fresh faces Robert Pattinson , Kristin Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
High School Musical 3- The highschoolers were back this year and ready to graduate , Troy , Sharpay, Ryan ,and Gabriella sung and danced their way to the top of the charts earning over 89 million dollars what a nice sum to end on , JSYK- The high school is actually filmed at Murray High School in Utah:)
Top Stories -
The Writers Strike- Started in November 5, 07 - February 12 08, it put all major TV. shows on hiatus and even put some off the air though some stars like Katherine Heigl and America Fererra supported the cause picketing with the writers and staff.
President Elect Barack Obama - after what seemed like 2 years of campaigning Barrack Obama was elected our president on November 4, 2008 , with supporters from major stars like Oprah, George Clooney, Scarlett Johanson , and others like Kim Kardashian and Chelsea Handler, Obama made history becoming the 1st African American President.
The Crappy Economy- The Economy started to fall in late October of 08 and brought stocks down at a historic low causing people to lose homes, assets , and money ,but we can hope for better days ahead.
Gas Prices- They had a roller coaster ride this year starting out high in early 08 and dropping to under $2.00 in October of 08 at least that's one good thing.
Music Stars-
Katy Perry- The former gospel singer from Santa Barbara , Kissed a Girl and She Liked it, the 24 year old beauty had her hit plastered
at #1 on the Billboard Charts in June she has since popped out hits
like Hot N' Cold and Thinking Of You.
Leona Lewis- The British Songstress who kicked ass on the X-Factor in the UK , wiped out stars like Rihanna and Beyonce with her hit Bleeding Love that was #1 everywhere you turned the love song got to everyone and it was on everyone's Ipod. Leona since then released Better in Time and will release I Will Be in 2009.
David Archuleta & David Cook - This list would not be complete without them they are my life now and I fully devote myself to that lol. The two cuties from American Idol stole the hearts of girls(and some boys ahem) with one's rocker attitude and the other's sweet boyish charm . Archuleta released Crush on August 22nd and it quickly went to number to on the Billboard Charts becoming the highest entry on the charts for an AI artist. Cook released Light On in September and peaked at number 8 on Billboard
both Dsqaured's albums though landed at #2(Archie) and #3 (Cookie).

Going Green and Saving the Planet- Everyone from Target to Marc Jacobs went green this year with canvas bags to do all your shopping , instead of bad for the environment plastic bags, cars like the weird lil Smart Car and Toyota's Prius went up in sales and telethon's like Stand Up 2 Cancer which featured the world's hottest female artist's performing together for the first time ever the song "Just Stand Up"
Ray Ban- Wayfarers- Everyone wore them Zac Efron , Ashley Tisdale , Lindsay Lohan , Justin Timberlake, Ryan Seacrest everyone in the Beverly Center and me , and they are here to stay for 09' they better I have two pairs!
Britney Spears- She may have had the biggest fall but she also had the biggest comeback, from shaving her head dating at paparazzi,driving with a kid on her lap to hits like "Womanizer" and "Circus" , Britney is back , we missed you girl:)

For the past four years around this time, I have heard and sung this song ,and meaning every word of it , not caring of the material possessions ,but only wanting the one I love, and it's true I love this person sooo much and get so nervous around them and they make me laugh and smile and make me feel happy , which I don't get alot and I can't imagine never being able to see their face , and "I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree, I just want you for my own more than you could ever know, make my wish come true all I want for Christmas is you" And I want you to know that , you know who you are:)

I've Been Bit

No really I'm fine , ( I know you were worried :) ,anyhow first I just want to let you now that Cookies's birthday dinner was the best most funniest time , I've had in a long time , it was fun even in the carpool which consisted me , Archie, Sy(Syesha), and my our friend Chris, David C. was in such a good mood and so was Andrew ,and Adam his bros. it was just really a great evening that was full of laughs and memories and hugs and also some adorable pics of our little rockstar with his 1st guitar, we all love and admire him so much Love David and Happy 26th (once again:) . Anyway that's not when I was hypothetically bit , Saturday during David C's birthday I forgot I had agreed to take Archie's sisters Jazzy, Amber my cousin Keaton , and my other sisters Kinnidi and Kendyl to see Twilight , they are obsessed with the book and wanted to see the movie so we took them to get T-shirts whether it be one with just Twilight or Team Edward , then after that moment of fun (not) , we took them to get something to eat and then it was showtime , we too almost a whole row , anyway I was excited to see it even though i never read the book ,but I looked good ,anyway after feeling emotions from sadness (which made me cry) ,anxiousness, worried, beyond scared , and happy I was hooked the movie honestly is probably one of the best I have ever seen major props to Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson who are the title characters Edward and Bella , it is truly a love story and not a sappy teen one , one with heart, and real raw emotion and true love and acceptance , usually found through music, but the movie is like one great visual song, you MUST go see it or pick up the books even the soundtrack, I cannot wait for the next movie:) I think I've fallen under the Vampire's spell.

Gossip Girl Prank

My bestie friend Leighton Meester , had a little prank pulled on her yesterday in New York on the set of Gossip Girl, it seems someone pulled the old hand cream in gloves trick on her , which feels the disgusting and slimy and you can't get the gloves off fast enough , I know how, it has also happened to me :( Here are also some other funny pics from Leighton on set of Gossip Girl. David's Birthday Surprise

OMG, David called me last night around 9:00 our time 12:00 Atlanta time where he was last night, he told me his band and the folks over @ Atlanta 94's Jingle Ball(he's done 6 of those) surprised him with a birthday cake on stage with trick candles ( birthday is Dec. 28 JSYK), he figured out they were trick when after 6 times they didn't blow, out so he was a little embarrassed ,but the gester was sweet, I was going to try and get up early this morning to tell you guys ,but I had a meeting with Hollywood Records and I had to finish getting birthday and Hanukkah, Christmas gifts so I just got home ,and I still haven't eaten, but I hope you are better off than me right now:) The other vid is David saying thank you to all his fans for picking up his Life Story on stands now:) it was so funny we were on our way to lunch in Boston last week ,and we passsed a newstand and it had it there and I burst out laughing ,he was like what's so funny, and to me it's just funny for me to see him like in a magazine since that's so not who he is and he feels the same way, but I love him so I did end up buying it:)

Davids Do Disney

That is the annual Walt Disney Christmas Parade Cookie and Archie both perform on the special airing on Christmas Day, and what better way to wake up with David Archuleta and David Cook in your living room, the special was shot early November in DisneyWorld in Florida , the shows yearly hosts are Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa as well as my favorite Ryan Seacrest. JSYK- Cook is singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", so tune in December 25th at 9 a.m. PT on ABC:)

David Cook Birthday Boy

The CW Awards

The CW has had little recogntion of it's unbelievably recognized shows, until now the show has announced the first CW awards,and the judges are ourselves the poll runs through December 19th and the results gallery will ait December 22nd, you can vote for Best Series, Best Actress , Best Actor , and Best Writing Team, go for everything Gossip Girl and Privileged ,it was hard deciding since I love both shows so much ,but I have Leighton Meester for best actress though Joanna Garcia deserves it equally for her role as Meagan in Privileged and for Best Supporting Actress Lucy Hale as Rose in Privileged and for Best Actor Ed Westwick and Supporting Chace Crawford, but I still want Sophia, Penn, Taylor, and Michael they all deserve it and I love you all equally Happy Voting:) XOXO Gossip Guy

Drama High: The Real High School Musical

Last night on ABC's 20/20 they had the special Drama High , which chronicled the process of the beginning to end of the musical at Virginia's Westfield High, it showed through the auditions to the final curtain call. The students did a production of " The Wiz" which was a remake of the " Wizard Of Oz" with an all African American cast, but the school since it is in Virginia is mainly white with only a few black students , but the school pulls together through thick and thin even when roles in the musical are at stake , the students show that no matter what color, race,religion, gender, or sexual orientation we are , we are all still people and should be treated equally .Westfield High cast an African American girl as Dorothy who had an amazing voice and has also tried out for Idol since the musical, they also of course the characters the Tin Man, and The Cowardly Lion,and of course Toto played by a real dog ,and not put down this musical ,but we had to start auditions for High School Musical 3 in January 2007 and started rehearsal and production in February 2007, it took over 400 extras for the opening basketball scene, and constant struggles with shooting between the schools actual school times, and over 13 million dollars to make , so I think it was a pretty real High School Musical , don't you:)

Back Where The Sunshines( At Least I Thought it Would)

Hey everyone, I am finally back here in my home in Los Angeles , after a week on the East Coast , I was hoping it was going to be warmer than it was in Canada , Boston, New Jersey and New York , but it is raining here and beyond freezing it was actually warmer in New York this morning when I left , but before I go to sleep I will tell you a little bit about my trip from the past week. Monday - we were in Toronto Canada where the Chumfum fundraiser was to take place (he did the radio interviews that morning), and ate, like David said in his blog at a Southern Italian Food restaurant ,(isn't as bad as it sounds) , Tuesday David performed at the event on piano , did amazing as usual, then we headed back to the U.S. in Buffalo NY, for David's next performance at the Kissmas Bash , where he performed TMH and ALTNOY (hope you get my abbreviations I'm tired of saying the whole thing , Wednesday David had an interview in Albany with 92.5 radio station and after that I left for Manhattan to visit with my sister at ELLE and met with David again later and had dinner with my sister and her boyfriend at Kittichai on the Upper East Side , which made David happy since it was Thai food, but I liked it, Thursday we were off to Massachusetts where David performed in Boston @ the KISS 108 where , his Idol Natasha Bedingfield also performed , he admires her so much it's so sweet and she is just a great really nice person, he was even a little starstruck he got to perform at the same show as her (that's our humble lil' David) , Friday was even nervracking for me even though he sang for 20 million people on Idol and sang all around the country this was the big one , Madison Square Garden ( he couldn't even eat , and like a good friend I fasted with him) anyway it was the Z100 Jingle Ball , David was between Kanye West and Chris Brown , talk about a lineup but of course David wowed the crowed just as all the other artists did, we also got to meet Brandy ( love her song Right Here) and see Leona Lewis again and my favorites Rihanna and Chris Brown who I could barely get words out when I met them , but the best part was the bowling after party where even though I lost to the biggest names in music I felt like a winner and Davy was definitely one, David did Philly Saturday night, but that morning we had to give him breakfast cause his nerves calmed down after Friday, Sunday we had David's day off and his band , David , me and a couple others went to the Natural History Museum, ( David has pics I will try and see If i can get them up , I'm not a big picture taker), then this morning I left and got back to freezing LA , and I can't wait to sleep , Goodnight, but one more thing , SUPRISE here is David's video for A Little Too Not Over You , P.S. I'm the one in the white sweater :) and major props to Scott Speer for making the shoot not only enjoyable and professional for David , but for the rest of us .

I Am So Ashamed

Ok , on Monday my sister called me and told me to listen to , Miley Cyrus' new song "Fly On The Wall" and to my dismay I love it , I don't know what happens ,but she just keeps churning out songs that bring out the inner "mean girl" in me , who knew, anyway it has gotten to the point where I know all the lyrics and I was driving David crazy in the car , I must of played it like 5 times , but he is a good sport , I sing part of the song then he goes "Fly On The Wall" . You have to be there to appreciate it , anyway I'm in New York right now with David and visited with my sister , but will be back in LA tomorrow , hopefully it is warmer there:) Greetings From Manhattan , Ian

A Little Too Not Over Him

I thought I would just give a little more David love today, since I have been really busy today with Archie's charity event today "Chumfum" partnered with a radio station in Canada which had a breakfast this morning and David is performing in Buffalo NY @ KIIS fm.'s Jingle Ball tonight , where he is at right now , but here you can see David's performance on AOL Sessions , which I know we have all seen, but they never get old , so here he is performing my favorite songs of his album , I promise more updates and news tomorrow , SORRY , later , Gotta Jet:) Ian

Archie Lights Up Hollywood

David Archuleta performed at the Hollywood Tree Lighting ,Saturday , the annual event brought the 17 year to sing his song "A Little Too Not Over You" , and a few Christmas classics like 'Silent Night' and 'Oh Holy Night' , and even I told him not to do it,but "A Thousand Miles", but I will not post it because I care about him too much, he did make an excellent wardrobe choice , thanks to me , I gave it to him a brown and cream argyle Ben Sherman sweater , has he looked hotter , I was only there in spirit though, I could not make it, but check out the performances :)

The Soup : Dishing Out The Funniest Reviews On Entertainment

This show is not old , so I am not doing any breaking news, in fact I loooove this show , I have watched it since it started , it gives a comedic spin on the week in News , Politics and Entertainment and just about everything Pop Culture , and host Joel McHale is hilarious , I had the chance to see his stand- up comedy this year and he is just as funny , So please check out this clip where he gives a his reaction to the marraige of major-annoying couple Heidi and Spencer of The Hills , and catch The Soup Fridays @10 only on E!

David Helps Light Up Rockefeller Center

Wednesday , night the brightest stars weren't the only ones in the sky or on the famous Christmas tree, stars like Beyonce , Tony Bennet , The Jonas Brothers ,and of course our favorite David Cook shone brightly on the annual special, David performed the acoustic version of, John Lennon's classic "Happy Christmas", unfortunately for me I wasn't able to see it because my DVR failed on me , but I finally saw it , and it is amazing one onlooker said they were in tears.
