Zac To Get Footloose?

Rumors have been circulating for almost a year , that Efron would reprive Kevin Bacon's role in the 1984 hit Footloose . Zac was offered $8 million dollars for the role , but no comment from his rep has been made, but if he accepts the offer filming could start as early as this spring. Zac was on the Ellen show though to promote HSM3 and experience this hair-ifying moment check out the clip:)

17 Again

About 3 weeks ago , I started planning this post and thought I could really be with the main blogs that brought the story first, considering I've known about it for almost a year , but due to technical computer problems I waited and everyone , wrote about it before me. But all is not lost there were some people that did not know of the movie like the group of 11-12 year old girls, that sat behind me at HSM3 , that let out a shriek , and asked the others for a pen and paper to write down the opening date, as if unaware that Efron is unable to star in anything that doesn't involve singing. So here is my lowdown on the movie , Mike o' Donnell (Zac Efron) is the popular senior of his high school who seems to have it all , with a college scholarship , but decides to turn it down and settle with his girlfriend Scarlet. Fastforward twenty five years later and now Mike (now Matthew Perry) is separated from his wife Scarlet (Leslie Mann) and living with his best friend Ned Freeman (Thomas Lennon) his job is at a breaking point and his relationships with his teenage children cease to exist. Mike goes back to his high school one day and meets up with a janitor that reminds him how much better Mike's life was when he was 17 , after leaving the school he sees the janitor standing on the edge of the bridge ready to jump into the L.A. River (not a smart choice) , Mike hurries out of the car to stop him, but when he gets to him the janitor has vanished and what he doesn't know is that he is going to fall into the river and become 17 again. Mike(now played as Efron) returns back to Ned's house trying to convince him he is Mike and ,asks him to enroll him back into High School , the same one where his kids go(fun) so he can relive his past full of happiness and begins to see a different side of his kids , now that he's their age again , and his ex-wife , all while learning what to wear , and how to act, and the new technology that has evolved since last time he was 17, it is sure to be a great , heartwarming , hilarious movie , oh and that's not the best part Zac takes his shirt off , can't wait!!!!! 17 Again is due out April 17 ,2009 , Check Out the Trailer:)

"Highschoolers" & "Idols" Rule The Charts

In these days if you're 25 and under you're doing pretty well for yourself this past Friday I went to the premiere of High School Musical 3 , and absolutely loved it more than I thought I would ,it had me in tears at the end saying goodbye to our dearest friends, but it wasn't all tears for me and the cast the movie pulled in 17 million dollars opening day, which covered the costs of the movie that only cost 13 million to make, the flick also made 42 million domestically and 82 million around the world and that was just opening weekend, it looks like some more Jimmy Choos for Sharpay. On the music charts our favorite Idols continue to rule like season 6 winner Jordin Sparks holding strong at #5 on American Top 40 with "One Step At A Time" and #1 on Yahoo Music Charts , and 20 on Billboard peaking at 17 for 17 weeks , David Archuleta is still holding strong with "Crush" at #21 on the Billboard Charts falling from #2 where the single landed when it first premiered ,and #1 on Itunes for 4 weeks now currently #14 , David Cook's single "Light On" is promising being on the billboard charts for 1 week at #36 ,but could still use some love and airplay, and #39 on Itunes good luck David:)

And a quick switch of gears now our hearts and prayers go out to Oscar Winner Jennifer Hudson , whose mother and brother were found dead on Friday, we wish the the best for Hudson and her family in this difficult time

High School Musical Invasion

The Highschoolers have traveled all around the globe for the HSM3 premiere ,and last Thursday they headed back here t o L.A. to attend the Hollywood premiere at USC. The cast wasn't entirely stoked for their 5th premiere of the movie Ashley Tisdale said she has seen it four times, "in four different languages",now that proves the phenomenon is global with fans from all over the world turning out to every premiere, Zac Efron says of the success "it's everything we wanted High School Musical to be". The rest of us can see the last installment October 24 ,and check the pop quiz our friends over at E! gave some of the stars ,and if you still can't get enough pick up the special edition of People magazine dedicated to High School Musical.

Ringwald Joins The Fight

The Secret Life Of The American Teenager star, Molly Ringwald , did a psa for Vote No On prop 8 , that would prohibit gay and lesbian couples from marrying in the state of California, and like the psa says it's not hurting anyone , same-sex marriages have been allowed for months here and it isn't fair that someone who cared about someone else so dearly, could not marry them just because they were of the same gender, but if I wanted to marry a complete stranger I could as long as it was a girl. It also hypocritical to children when you tell them when it's okay to be gay , but they just can't get married, it's twisted ,now the kid thinks I can never get married just because I'm different, is that what we really want to be teaching?

Will Zac Bare All?

We can only hope. Last week rumors began circulating that Efron would take over for Daniel Radcliffe in the London play Equus, Zac's camp and E! News deny the story, but you know that's how every good story starts out ,it starts out false and absurd to the star, then when the time is right the offer is accepted and confirmed to the public ,well maybe that's my optimistic nature ,but I can dream can't I , anyway Zac will of course appear in HSM3 (October 24) and the drama flick , Me And Orson Wells due out later this year , and keep your fingers crossed for the whole naked thing :)

Hilary Duff has done a new PSA with the Gay and Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) , which makes me love her even more , the term used "that's so gay" is so demeaning and also bothered me when I heard it , it shows you have no respect for other people's feelings , and you're using someone's sexual orientation as slang , and it pretty much just makes you sound like an IDIOT. What if someone made up some slang phrase that offended you , we all just want to be accepted and respected , so next time think before you speak. And thanks Hil for being such a great supporter and role model for us , You Go Girl !

They Kissed A Mouse And They Liked It

David Archuleta fans watch out he's got a new lady ,ok it was mouse. Lil David was at Disneyland Friday celebrating Miley Cyrus' Sweet Sixteen , when he gave Minnie Mouse a kiss and Minnie returned the favor ,"what would Mickey say!"Now I wouldn't normally speak of Ms. Cyrus , but since Archie was there and I kind of like her song "7 Things", anyway other stars in attendance at the birthday were Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks , Jennie Garth , Steve Carell and her best friend Mandy. Miley is not 16 actually till next month ,and she got to rent DisneyLand , but hey I got A Louis Vuitton bag for my 16th birthday.

First that was the longest title ever written , but anyway Taylor Swift , Lauren Conrad and Hilary Duff ,grace the cover of this months US Weekly The Style Issue . The girls spill on their Fashion Idols , and favorite stores , and really they're just like us not everything is from Chanel.

Taylor loves Nicole Kidman's style and she really likes to be dressed up and her favorite stores are Forever 21 and -wait for it- Walmart. Hilary also shops at budget friendly stores like Urban Outfitters (love!) and my personal favorite Target. Lauren can also be found at Urban Outfitters , and I'm sure she dawns some of her own clothing from her own, Lauren Conrad Collection (available at Bloomingdales). These girls prove that next time you go shopping you don't have to splurge to shine like a star.

Give Violence The Boot

Leighton Meester joined with Marshalls last week in NYC for their 15th annual 'Shop Till It Stops' charity event the , charity gives proceeds from the stores sales to victims of domestic violence ,and charities that care for the abused women and children. From October 3 the store will donate up to $150,00 this year to the Family Violence Prevention Fund , Marshalls has made such a difference with everyone's help donating up to $1 million dollars from the 'Shop Till It Stops' Organization , they provide the programs and materials needed also with the help of the Violence Against Women Act . Spokesperson Amy Caffazzo says “Abuse is a serious issue for our employees, our customers and our communities, and we will continue doing all we can to stop it.” , so stop into a Marshalls an do your part to 'Shop Till Stops'.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Ok , I'm just going to say it , I saw both High School Musicals ,and have the soundtrack and DVD to the first one , and am totally excited to see the third one. The cast is all grown up , and ready to graduate the film of course stars , my mutual friends Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale , the movie shows the prom , relationships , finding the right dress , and graduation all the while while singing and dancing . The movie also has 13 new songs : "Now Or Never", "I Want it All" , "A Night To Remember" , "All or Nothing" , "Right Here Right Now", "Can I Have This Dance", "Just Wanna Be With You" , "The Boys Are Back" , "Walk Away", "Scream" , "Spring Musical Medley", "Last Chance" , "Just Getting Started" performed by the winner of 'High School Musical Get In The Picture' Stan Corrizosa , and of course "Were All In This Together" Graduation Version. So, sing along when HSM 3 hits the big screen October 24th :)

Archie Ready For Acting

Watch out television world , there's a new star in town and his name is David Archuleta. Yes the seventeen year old is set to appear on the Nickelodeon show "iCarly" , confirmed from People magazine , David will star in the episode iRockedThe Vote , and will play a contestant on a game show called America Sings , his character gets a large number of votes after iCarly's webcast endorses him. As many of you know October is Breast Cancer awareness month and many celebrities and just remarkable normal people are doing their best to aid in the fight. Lee Jeans is having Lee National Denim Day this Friday where everyone is to wear jeans , you can join a team or make your own , but for all us David Cook fans we have our own team David Cook Fans Unite Against Cancer , (I'll post the link at the bottom if you want join) , you can join the team and it is optional for a $5 donation , and special thanks to Jean Vaden for posting the link to the site for me , we are right now the only two members , so join if you can. Yes it's true the hottest Upper East Sider boys: Chace Crawford , Penn Badgely and Ed Westwick grace the cover of this months DETAILS magazine , and for once they each gave their own interviews to the mag; Chace Crawford on stardom : "I literally go into the bathroom and wipe off one layer of make up. My occasional zit is a big deal , oh they turn on the alarms for that. And they get mad if I get sunburned or get a haircut" and on being under contract for six years like his fellow castmates : It never really gets frustrating. Sure, sometimes you just want to have a scene where you’re drunk or having fun. I’m hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!”. Penn Badgley on his relationship with co-star Blake Lively:“It's wonderful and also something to grapple with in terms of mixing work and pleasure. You have to draw the line somewhere. Season 3 alum Jennifer Hudson and Season 5 alum Kellie Pickler (American Idol) have released their new records it is Jennifer's first and Kellie's second . Jennifer's self titled album includes her hit "Spotlight which was written and produced by Ne-yo and Stargate other collaborations on the album include , Robin Thicke , Timbaland and John Legend. The album cover as you know had a bit of controversy as you know , showing a much slimmer Hudson , via photoshop , tell me what you think. Kellie is no stranger to the music charts her last album "Small Town Girl" produced three hits , and I'm sure her new album will follow , Ms. Pickler played a big part in her sophomore album she picked the producer , the songs , the cover art an co-wrote 10 of the songs , including her single "Don't You Know You Are Beautiful" .
