About 3 weeks ago , I started planning this post and thought I could really be with the main blogs that brought the story first, considering I've known about it for almost a year , but due to technical computer problems I waited and everyone , wrote about it before me. But all is not lost there were some people that did not know of the movie like the group of 11-12 year old girls, that sat behind me at HSM3 , that let out a shriek , and asked the others for a pen and paper to write down the opening date, as if unaware that Efron is unable to star in anything that doesn't involve singing. So here is my lowdown on the movie , Mike o' Donnell (Zac Efron) is the popular senior of his high school who seems to have it all , with a college scholarship , but decides to turn it down and settle with his girlfriend Scarlet. Fastforward twenty five years later and now Mike (now Matthew Perry) is separated from his wife Scarlet (Leslie Mann) and living with his best friend Ned Freeman (Thomas Lennon) his job is at a breaking point and his relationships with his teenage children cease to exist. Mike goes back to his high school one day and meets up with a janitor that reminds him how much better Mike's life was when he was 17 , after leaving the school he sees the janitor standing on the edge of the bridge ready to jump into the L.A. River (not a smart choice) , Mike hurries out of the car to stop him, but when he gets to him the janitor has vanished and what he doesn't know is that he is going to fall into the river and become 17 again. Mike(now played as Efron) returns back to Ned's house trying to convince him he is Mike and ,asks him to enroll him back into High School , the same one where his kids go(fun) so he can relive his past full of happiness and begins to see a different side of his kids , now that he's their age again , and his ex-wife , all while learning what to wear , and how to act, and the new technology that has evolved since last time he was 17, it is sure to be a great , heartwarming , hilarious movie , oh and that's not the best part Zac takes his shirt off , can't wait!!!!! 17 Again is due out April 17 ,2009 , Check Out the Trailer:)
