Cook's Album Epitomizes Rock Star Cool

With this being my 100th post, I know I can't believe it, it rightfully so belongs to David Cook as did my first post did with him in the Skechers ad, that was back in August , before that a year ago David was just a bartender in Blue Springs, Missouri, he had an amazing voice and a heart of gold. David had just gone to the audition in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his brother Andrew ,for moral support , Andrew was auditioning David had plans to go to China within a few days , but he auditioned and made it although Andrew did not . Then it all began David arrived in Hollywood with a guitar in one hand and a dream in the other, he glided through to the top 24,and I remember seeing him and saying "I like the guy with the red streak ,in his hair he's gonna go far" (they really weren't too good and telling us all the names because there were so many contestants ,but what I remember was the streak of red hair that fell in front of his face.) David delivered knock out performances like a Rock rendition of Lionel Richie's "Hello" and Chris Cornell's version of "Billy Jean" getting praise from both the original artists. Then on May 20th 2008 at 9:57 David Cook stood in suspense awaiting too see who was to be crowned American Idol , families , fans, and just about everyone stood was at the edge of their seat , then Ryan Seacrest announced "The Winner is David (didn't help because they both had the same first name) Cook " He had won with 56% percent of the votes cast of 97 million votes and won by an astonishing 12 million . He had arrived our little RockStar was on his way he recorded the winning song "Time Of My Life" which sold 236,000 copies matching season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson , David also had 11 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 ,which was the most in a week since The Beatles 14 singles in 1964. David is still no stranger to the charts and will remain their his single "Light On" has been holding strong at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100.Aside from Cookie's ability to belt out major hits he is probably the sweetest , humble guy you will meet , he truly cares , he has shone light on (no pun intended) Cancer research and charities , too support others suffering from the disease like his brother Adam , and fan Lindsey Rose, he made us care again and show us that , there are good people out there and he deserves ,all the best , he is wonderful and truly and inspiration , he made it fun to like music again and took risks , but still stayed true too himself , if you read this David, "Thank you for being a part of my life David you have brought me and others so much joy ,and a new passion to follow our hearts and our dreams" "And remember to me you will ''Always Be My Baby" .
