Prayers For Bobby

Ok, I've been waiting since the end of November to tell you guys about this movie, I wanted to make sure it was fresh in your memory ,and since it premieres tomorrow , I think you should remember . Anyway, I had the honor of getting to see this movie last month, and I don't want to give too much away (like I did with 17 Again), but the movie is based on the book by Leroy Aarons , the story is about a devout Christian mother(Sigourney Weaver) who becomes an advocate for gay rights ,when her son Bobby(Ryan Kelley) committed suicide over, his parents not being able to accept him being gay, which unfortunately for some boys and girls , does not sit well with their peers or parents , and that is not fair to them I was reading a story a friend wrote , last night and it brought out a good point, when dealing with opposition with peers, before everyone knew he was gay he was loved by all the students and popular, but the minute he came out he became an outcast losing friends who almost hated him, now I'm not saying all people are like this ,but some are just, think we don't hate you for who you are or who you love, we just want to be accepted and loved, like anyone else and if you happen to be the one facing the persecution know that you're not alone and there are people that are there for you ,and it is ok to be who you are , we would not want anyone to have to go through the pain and suffering that Bobby did.
